• Ceramics have minor flecks of random colors on the surface due to batch firing with other work, and a bumpy texture on the stoneware that is inherent to the clay and glaze. Like a lot of handmade work, we this this adds to the beauty of the work. Much of the glaze is “crazed” (glaze crackle) meaning a fine cracked pattern like you find on antique ceramics, this is part of the glaze’s normal characteristics and adds to the beauty of the surface.
